We're building the Data Cloud at Snowflake. I'm a Software Engineer, graduated with MS CS from GeorgiaTech interested in Cloud Computing, Problem solving, Data Structures, Cloud Computing, Big Data, Text Processing and Natural Language Processing.

I have prior research & Software Engineering experience through several projects, internships and publications across varied computer science fields.

Working on the Cloud Provisioning Services team on several projects. One of them is a background service that saves resources by detecting leaks in servers provisioned to customers. Simplifying leak detection and validation logic and developing telemetry and system alerts for leakages.

Nordstrom Technology

SDE Intern | June 2021 – August 2021 | Seattle, WA

Worked on centralizing sitemap generation process to build and validate sitemaps and capture log metrics. Took part in system design & reviews. Wrote configurable generators for all brands across Nordstrom in Java. Performed unit testing using JUnit and deployed code using a Docker container over Kubernetes clusters

Worked in the Natural Language Understanding group as part of the Voice Intelligence R & D team. Worked on the next version of Bixby, Samsung's own personal assistant offering. Worked with technologies including C++, CMake, Python, Flask, Keras, Tensorflow.

Worked in the Research Labs team on the problem of Semantic Similarity of Questions to help in developing an intelligent and suggestive QnAEngine.

Worked in the Bixby team of Intelligent Services division. Used Word2Vec to obtain feature vectors of utterances and then applied k-means and Agglomerative clustering on them to work with the domain classifier of sentences

Worked in an Agile Software Development team, developed Cross Platform Mobile Applications using HTML, CSS, AngularJS, JQuery and PhoneGap Build. Also worked on setting up Push Notification services and setting up of self-hosted Parse Server.

Anomaly Detection in Mobile Networks

With the ultimate goal of developing a cognitive self-organizing network, we perform a comparitive study of unsupervised techniques like SARIMA and MSCRED to find network anomalies in real-time mobile network data.

Parallel Intent & Slot Prediction using MLB Fusion

IEEE | ICSC 2020

Implemented a Parallel Bidirectional GRU architecture and used MLB & Dense Addition for Fusion. Outperformed the state-of-the-art on both Intent and Slot Prediction on ATIS and Snips datasets.

A survey of deep learning techniques in Speech Recognition

Projects

Text Summarization

Fall 2017 | Major Project

Performed custom feature engineering and recorded various feature values for each sentence. Performed feature enhancement using a Restricted Boltzmann Machine. Generated summaries by selecting a set of coherent sentences having high scores. Obtained a BLEU score of 0.73

Two Fold Cardiac Risk Analyzer

Summer 2017 | Minor Project

Developed a two-fold system to predict whether a person has a heart condition based on his vitals and heartbeat sound. Used logistic regression, support vector machine and k-NN models. Also applied feature selection to remove correlated features.

LOCATION BASED RECOMMENDER SYSTEM FOR USERS

Fall 2016 | Minor Project

Suggest friends by calculating encounter probability to measure the similarity of two users based on the three-dimensional user check-in matrix. Smoothed the sparseness of real check-in data using Gaussian KDE. Dataset used-Gowalla.

Optimized MapFile based Storage of Small files

Summer 2016

Developed an ‘Optimized MapFile based Storage of Small files (OMSS)’ algorithm to improve file merging and storage, reduce fragmentation in data blocks, and hence save the NameNode memory. Used Hadoop framework’s JAVA libraries.

Faculty Feedback System – Web Portal

Spring 2016

Developed an online portal for students to give feedback to faculty and generate their ratings. Deployed the server with XAMPP, using PHP as a backend solution.

Received the award for 'Deep NLU Rejection' at the 'DeepDive' quarterly event of the 'Research & Analysis Wing' at Samsung.

Zenith Hackathon organized by HackerEarth and YMCA University, Faridabad

1st rank | March ’17

In a team of two, developed a Cardiac Assistant to predict the risk factor of heart disease in a patient. Used PCA to derive important features and deployed the script on a Django based server. Also used PyAudioAnalysis for Heartbeat Classification.

I-MADE App-A-Thon organized by EVC Ventures and IGDTUW, Kashmere Gate
